We design, support, and maintain flexible digital payments infrastructure solutions. Our robust, “always-on” processing capabilities and advanced payment systems enable seamless interbank switching, clearing, and settlement. Recently, we have expanded our offerings to include innovative value-added services, particularly in fraud management.

Cloud Migration

At BankservAfrica, we're building a cloud-based, fully API-enabled technology platform using the latest technology and agile methods. Since FY2021, our cloud journey has focused on creating a scalable, innovative, and flexible infrastructure to handle high-volume digital payments. We've engaged with the SARB’s NPSD Policy and Regulatory Division on the NPSD Cloud Computing Consultation paper.

We've established a Cloud Centre of Excellence to help bank customers embrace the cloud. Key governance functions, including the Cloud Computing Advisory Committee, oversee our cloud strategy. We've migrated four products and our dispute and transaction query systems to the cloud, and we're continuously recruiting and upskilling our technology team.

We're moving from silo technologies to service-based, cross-functional teams to reduce dependency risks. Our technology team collaborates with innovation experts and contributes to market research and client insights. Our cloud migration will be completed by FY2027, with on-premises connections ending by FY2026.

We aim to lead in payments modernization, offering an industry incubator, a center of knowledge, and an environment for developing payments expertise.
