mywellbeing

The holistic wellbeing of our people is front and centre of the
BankservAfrica strategic intent.

Enabling change and adoption is less about systems and processes and more about human beings and their ability to maintain their spirits when they are battling with change, fatigue and fallout from a global pandemic which has had a devastating effect to the lives of most. Their automatic self-preservation instinct is to close their eyes and cover their ears to the realities of more change and, transformation is just a bridge too far!. They are overwhelmed by the volume, velocity, and variety of change they experienced during the pandemic and are still experiencing.

Dealing with multiple changes can take a heavy emotional and mental toll on all of us as individuals, our quick poll on ‘how you are feeling’ and our recent wellbeing survey provides insight into our employee’s wellbeing and is an argument for dialling up, enhancing and intensifying the wellbeing support we offer. We must create opportunities for individuals to reflect on and live their purpose every day in the best way they can.

We need imagination and willingness to look outside our usual practices of business as usual. We need to demonstrate a renewed sense of appreciation of each other as people and recognise what we have, as a collective, achieved the continued operation of BankservAfrica not withstanding everything 2020 threw at us. We need to explore ways of showing care and respect to build the trust that is required to help our employees to deliver the necessary change in a way that limits the impact of change fatigue.

Our ‘mywellbeing initiative’ facilitated by Kaelo’s ‘Ask Nelson’ program will provide the necessary support for staff to feel cared for and will not only provide them with access to the necessary information required to understand what they are experiencing, but also have access to professionals that can practically assist them to overcome wellbeing issues. We invite you to explore this site and converse on yammer with others in the business regarding your wellbeing.

Financial Wellbeing

Financial Wellbeing

Being financially well means you can meet your current and ongoing financial obligations, feel secure in your financial future, and are able to make choices that allow you to enjoy life – in other words, financial freedom.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental Wellbeing

This includes lifestyle choices that affect the functioning of our bodies. What we eat and how active we are will affect our physical wellbeing. Mental wellbeing means that we can enjoy life and cope with its challenges, even when things get tough.

Physical Wellbeing

Physical Wellbeing

Physical wellbeing is the ability to maintain a healthy quality of life that allows us to get the most out of our daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress. It includes taking care of our bodies and recognizing that our daily habits and behaviours have a significant impact on our overall health, wellbeing and quality of life.
