WHO WE ARE
We are the longstanding trusted partner in South Africa’s National Payment (NPS) system. The NPS is the overarching infrastructure connecting consumers, businesses and financial institutions, ensuring the economy can operate seamlessly and effectively. We know who we are, what we do and where we're going. WHAT WE DO
We build and operate essential payment infrastructure to support African communities and economies. We modernise the payment process which in turn, promotes financial inclusion driving economic growth. We work with government, regulators, shareholders, banks, non-banks and other stakeholders to provide interoperability, efficiency, risk management and payment services to the financial services industry.
We are not a profit maximising business. As mandated by our shareholders, we operate as a utility and our mutual ownership support our core purpose which is to build mutual digital infrastructure that connects economies.

We are on an exciting path which is aimed at provisioning a fully interoperable, cloud-ready orchestration platform enabling improved and innovative payments systems in South Africa.
To survive in today’s fast paced technological environment where consumers are restless and continuously demand more, we need to transform to stay on top of and ahead of the environment we operate in.
