Once you’ve decided to embark on finding a new position for yourself there are a few considerations you should take into account.

1. Evaluate what you’ve experienced in the past, during your tertiary education, your work or even things you’ve done in your community. What’s made you come alive, and made you feel that life was a joy while you performed this function?
2. Make a list of your triumphs, your failures, skills, and interests that have made up your life thus far.

Our employee lifecycle begins with the hiring process.

Using your previous resumé, for inspiration purposes only mind you, consider the position you’re interested in and build a job-specific resumé, taking the following into account:

1. Align your skills and experiences to the job description that you’re interested in. Tie work directly to the role qualifications including the facts and evidence available to you.
2. List the projects you’ve worked on or managed that are aligned, what were the outcomes, were they measurable can you demonstrate how your contribution added value?
3. If your role was that of a leader – how big was your team, what was the scope of your portfolio?
4. Keep the information short and concise but ensure you’ve covered the salient points.
